Mindfulness in Movement Exercise

Mindfulness in movement exercise- feeling the sensation of moving.

  1. Close your eyes

  2. Focus on one part of the body with your mind

  3. Start moving it

  4. Be mindful of the sensation of the movement

  5. Continue with this part for a while

  6. See how you can expand the awareness to a body part near by

  7. Continue until you have the whole body in your awareness

Notes: 

  • Move or being moved isn’t so important

Questions:

How much were you aware of the body part?

What was the sensation/feeling that came?

How/did the sensation change over time?

How much of your body could you hold in your awareness?
